Exploring the grandeur of the Hue Imperial Citadel
Stepping through the majestic gates of the Hue Imperial Citadel, we were transported to an era of regal splendor. The architectural marvels of the Forbidden Purple City, the Throne Palace, and Ngo Mon Gate stood as living testaments to the grandeur of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty. Every step along the ancient pathways echoed the fascinating stories of emperors, queens, and mandarins, allowing us to relive the golden days of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Transforming into royalty with traditional attire
Beyond sightseeing, ONFA members had the chance to immerse themselves in the cultural essence of Hue by donning traditional royal costumes. Dressed as emperors, empresses, and princes of the past, we captured stunning moments against the picturesque backdrop of the citadel. This unique experience not only added an extra layer of excitement but also strengthened our connection to the country’s rich traditions.

Discovering Kien Trung Palace – a masterpiece of East-West fusion
One of the most fascinating highlights of the day was our visit to Kien Trung Palace, an exquisite architectural gem that seamlessly blends Eastern and Western influences. Once the residence of Emperor Khai Dinh and Emperor Bao Dai, the palace reflects a dynamic period of cultural and artistic transformation in Vietnam’s history. Despite the passage of time, its charm and elegance remain intact, offering us a glimpse into the refined aesthetics of the Nguyen Dynasty’s final years.
